Spinal Stenosis
Spinal stenosis is a narrowing of the spinal canal, which places pressure upon the spinal cord.
Stenosis that occurs in the upper part of the spinal cord is called cervical spinal stenosis, while
stenosis that occurs in the lower part of the spinal cord is called lumbar spinal stenosis.
Stenosis can actually occur in any part of the spine, but cervical and lumbar stenosis are the most common types.
Crist Family Chiropractic Clinic can determine the root cause of your condition and put you on the path to wellness.
Some common biomechanical causes are known to stem from the feet, the knees, or the spine itself. Once our clinic
identifies the location, proper corrections can be made. While these corrections are ongoing, our doctors concentrate
on alleviating the pain as immediately as possible. The doctor and his trained staff will use passive treatments like
electric muscle stimulation along with specified massage therapy to treat your pain. As symptoms begin to lessen, the
treatments will help you strengthen the muscles that have grown weak as a result of the stenosis.
