Disc Degeneration
Vertebrae are the bones of the spine, which interlock with soft discs between them. These discs act as shock-absorbers,
protecting the spinal column from impact during movement, and also are responsible for the flexibility and mobility of the spine.
Without the discs of the spine, people would not be able to move like they do.
When those discs break down – wearing down, losing elasticity, or becoming dry – this is called disc degeneration.
A little bit of disc degeneration is typical as a person ages, but degenerative disc disease is a more severe condition that can
cause a lot of pain and loss of mobility. Regular chiropractic care can help reverse the affects of both regular disc degeneration
as well as degenerative disc disease.
We treat bulging discs, herniated discs as well as other disc degeneration problems.
